Kanoo Pops Up at Evolve

One by one, gym-goers quickly became Kanoo family members, as representatives were on hand to sign them up and add funds to their wallet. The three-day pop-up tour, which kicked off the gym’s participation in the month-long Love Me Some Kanoo Campaign, started on Monday, February 3rd, and ended Wednesday, February 5th. Tangerine Curry-Dinnick, Owner and Director of Evolve Functional Fitness, says she was excited to have the Kanoo team in house to demonstrate the platform, which she believes will be “life-changing” not only for her business but for businesses throughout The Bahamas. “We’re grateful that Kanoo came to visit, giving my clients a birdseye view of how it works and benefits them. There’s no doubt in my mind that Kanoo is a way to make things easier for all, myself, as a business owner and our customers. It’s an easy, safe, and convenient payment option. I’m super ecstatic that my clients are embracing it as I hope to become a cashless facility in the future.” “In the meantime, I am encouraging my clientele to download Kanoo, add funds to your wallet, and have money on it just in case you need to grab a water or a Gatorade,” she added.

Dionisio D’Aguilar visited the booth to learn about the newest digital payment system to come onstream in the Bahamian market. The one-day business networking event provided Kanoo with a unique and priceless opportunity to show members of the business how they can benefit from Kanoo’s offerings. Chief Sales Officer Jevon Butler says he’s grateful to the host of Business Outlook 2020, The Counsellors Limited, for allowing Kanoo to be the event’s cashless payment provider. “Kanoo continues to demonstrate its ecosystem to both users and merchants and is pleased with the progress we’ve made since launching in early December. Kanoo Onboards Central Bank Employees onto its Sand Dollar Platform

Last week, the staff at the Central Bank of The Bahamas had the opportunity to enroll themselves onto its Sand Dollar platform officially. Kanoo was among several local payment service providers onboarding the bank’s 200 employees. Chief Executive Officer Keith Davies revealed that Kanoo is one of the financial institutions that are authorized to onboard Bahamians onto the platform. “We had many people coming through but equally as good for us being Kanoo; individuals have been asking us to download and use the Kanoo app as well. So, once we would’ve signed people up for the Sand Dollar, they would then download the Kanoo app and add funds to their wallets. So that’s what we’ve been doing, and it’s been very successful for us,” he said. “Once signed up on both the Sand Dollar and Kanoo platforms, they were able to pay us for Kanoo cash by transferring their Sand Dollars to us because we have a Sand Dollar account and so that’s money transferred to us, and then we were able to load their Kanoo app. So, if you sent $5 Sand Dollars to us, we put $5 Kanoo cash onto your phone, and then you can use that money to shop at any of our merchants.”

Here’s to a “Cashless Christmas”

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Since officially launching the app to the public on December 9th, the Kanoo team has embarked on its ongoing mission of making life easier. Bahamians can now purchase their groceries using their cellphones instead of carrying wads of cash around.  And since we’re making life easier for consumers through our app, why not do the same for businesses. After all, it’s Christmas, the season of giving and sharing.

So, on December 17th, Kanoo will “Make Life Easier for Small Businesses” at the Small Business Development Centre’s Christmas Client Showcase.

Here’s How:

  1. Download & install Kanoo’s app (for free) from the Play Store or the App Store.
  2. Create a Kanoo account. (This process requires your first and last name, cellphone, number, and an email address)
  3. Add funds to your Kanoo Cash Card by giving a Super Value cashier the amount of cash that you would like to add to your digital wallet.
  4. You can load funds at the following Super Value locations: Golden Gates, Westridge, Quality Supermarkets Cable Beach, Nassau & Meadow Streets, Prince Charles, Winton, Mackey Street, and Wulff & Monstrose Ave.
  5. You can load funds at the event.

Once you add funds to your funds, it’s time to eat, drink, be merry and shop, shop, shop![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]… Read the rest
