We are so proud to release our App to the Bahamian Public finally. It’s been a labour of love for the past 2+ years of building and refining our platform based on feedback from consumers and the business community. I believe we are well on our way to “Making Life Better for Bahamians.”
Kanoo is deeply rooted in Bahamian culture. Our name, Kanoo, is a derivative of Junkanoo, an expression that is uniquely Bahamian. From the rhythmic sounds to the colorful costumes, Junkanoo is the embodiment of what it means to be Bahamian. So, as a Bahamian company, Kanoo seeks to endorse and support our uniquely Bahamian spirit with its products and services.
As countries around the world move towards becoming cashless, Kanoo is ready to be at the forefront of the nation’s digital revolution by introducing Bahamians to this new technology.
Kanoo is a mobile digital payments platform that connects merchants and consumers safely, securely, and quickly. Our platform consists of three components: the App, the Point-of-Sale (POS), and the Audience Relationship Manager (ARM). Consumers use the App to interact with merchants in our ecosystem. Kanoo merchants use our POS to receive a customer’s digital payment and use the ARM to drive sales, increase awareness, and build customer loyalty.
As a consumer, we want you to incorporate Kanoo into your daily routine. To achieve this goal, we have focused on areas that matter most to you. For merchants, we want to help you find new and exciting ways for customers to interact and transact with you.
We begin our journey by launching the platform in our first and largest merchant, Super Value Quality Supermarkets, at their Golden Gates store. And after that, we will start one-by-one in each of their remaining 12 stores.
Users can also now use Kanoo at Nicole’s Beauty Supply, located on East Street North and Coco Plum Road. That was our very first merchant, and we look forward to working alongside them as we continue to expand our ecosystem.
In addition to being merchants, Super Value and Nicole’s are Kanoo Agents. Consumers can load money onto their phones and withdraw cash off their phones from any of our authorized Agent locations like Super Value and Nicole’s. Just imagine the power and reach a consumer will have with the ability to load, transact, transfer, and hold money on their phones.
I’m incredibly excited about Kanoo’s rollout. I have seen firsthand the positive impact we’re already having on consumers and merchants’ lives after using our products and services. Now, it’s time for everyone to see and experience it for themselves.
Our entire team is excited, primed, and ready to meet people, share our vision, and introduce them to our incredible Kanoo platform.
